Living in Chaddesden

Chaddesden is a large suburb east of Derby city centre, known locally as Chadd, with a population of around 13,400. It was once a separate village centred on Chaddesden Hall and St Mary's Church, and became part of Derby in 1968.

It is mainly residential. The old village centre still has its church, library, shops and pubs, and Wyvern Retail Park has a Sainsbury's superstore, Next, Boots and Matalan.

Chaddesden Park, once part of the Chaddesden Hall estate, is the main green space, and Derby station is only about 2 to 3 km away.
