How accurate is an instant valuation?
It gives you the range that homes of the same type have sold for in your postcode sector over the last two years. It cannot see the size of your home, its condition, an extension, the garden or parking, so your home could sit above or below the range. That is why we follow up with a free valuation in person.
Where do the figures come from?
HM Land Registry Price Paid Data. It records the price of every home sold in England and Wales. We use standard sales of existing homes, not new builds, and update the figures every month.
Why do you ask for my details?
So we can follow up with a proper valuation if you want one. We will call you once to see if you would like us to come out. If you just wanted the figure, tell us and we will leave it there.
Does it cost anything?
No. The instant valuation and the valuation in person are both free, with no obligation.
